Detective Mortenson’s investigation uncovered that the defendants operated without proper registration with the Department of Agriculture, violating Florida Statute 559.937.2 (Offer to Sell Travel Services without Registration to a Terrorist State) and Florida Statute 812.014.2b.1 (Grand Theft). His meticulous legal analysis and fact-finding efforts ensured that the seven victims, who collectively lost approximately $28,000, received the justice they deserved.
