Major Crimes Detective Paul McNalley
Major Crimes Detective Paul McNalley has demonstrated exceptional dedication to both enforcement and community engagement, consistently embodying the agency’s ethos and the Sheriff’s philosophy of proactive policing:
• Detective McNalley investigated the death of a 45-year-old female who had died of a suspected drug overdose. During the initial investigation, Detective McNalley located unique drug packaging next to the victim. Through forensic analysis of the victims’ cell phone, Det. McNalley was able to identify evidence identifying Louis De Gejuchete as the source of the illicit narcotics. De Gejuchete was charged with homicide and held on a $500,000 bond.
• Detective McNalley investigated a sex offense over a span of multiple months. He worked closely the juvenile victim and her family as well as Sate Attorney’s Office to secure sufficient probable case that led to an arrest warrant with a $200,000 bond attached.
• Detective McNalley investigated a cyber sexual harassment case where a juvenile suspect posted illicit/nude photographs of his juvenile ex-girlfriend on a social media app. The photograph was then downloaded by and shard by multiple suspects. Two arrests have already been made. Investigation is still ongoing.
