Key West Police Department Officer Of The Month

Officer Jeremiah Osborn

Although new to the department, Officer Osborne conducts himself like a seasoned professional. He never hesitates to jump in and get done what needs to be done. A recent example, which earned him many complimentary calls, was his amazing feat of traffic control when the traffic light was out for hours at the intersection of North Roosevelt Blvd. and 1^st Street. He single-handedly directed 11 lanes of heavy traffic, keeping it flowing throughout the outage, which occurred during one of the busiest times of day.

He was still in field training when the tragic house fire occurred earlier this year. But he jumped right in, interviewing witnesses and comforting community members during this terrible and difficult time.

Officer Osborne truly represents the core values of the Key West Police Department.
